Daughtry’s doing his part (probably thanks to some cash he’s getting from CNN) to encourage young, 1st time voters to make sure they’re registered and knowledgable about the presidential candidates.
The real question is, are they knowledgable that this is a cover of Foreigner?
My first line of business if elected, change the work week from Monday to Friday, to TUESDAY TO THURSDAY!! (closely followed by pulling troops out of Iraq.)
Would you vote for Me!!
P.S. After watching the Video, you can change the name for the candidate to yourself, and even send it to your friend to play a joke on them!!
Sure Michael Phelps is insanely incredible, and the gymnastics are great, and synchronized diving (when did they start that anyway), Water Polo, oh, and how can I forget BADMINTON, but the BEST PART about the Olymics, are all the cool promos they’ve show for all of your favorite NBC shows, especially The Office.
John Mayer just recently put out a new DVD/CD called Where the Light Is, a performance well hyped from the singer/songwriter that happened last December in L.A. At the show, Mayer peformed 3 seperate sets, an Acoustic, a set with the Blues Based John Mayer Trio, and a full band set. The purpose was to show Mayer in all his glory, Acoustic Songwriter, Bluesman/Modern Day Guitar God, and Vocalist.
The set features several covers, including Jimi Hendrix, Ray Charles, and Blues Staples, but the one most will gravitate to, is this Acoustic Performance of Tom Petty’s Classic “Free Fallin.’”
If you missed last week’s Soundstage on PBS (Channel 11 if you get Chicago networks) then check out the video to the right for a great accoustic performance of the band’s hit “Unwell.” Matchbox Twenty are at their best when they rework songs, either theirs or someone elses. After Hurricane Katrina, Rob Thomas appeared on one of the many tribute/fundraiser shows and did a great version of Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time.” Watch that performance HERE
