G-U-A-C-A-M-O-L-E!!

January 28, 2009

If you’re hosting a Superbowl Party, you’ve got to have Chips and Dip.  If it’s tortilla, then it’s either Salsa, Cheese or Guacamole (I prefer Salsa).  Here’s a fun video from the Food Network about Guacaole including a recipe.

Jessica Simpson Weight Gain Pics

January 28, 2009

Is this a major news story, NO!  But when you’re on TV about your beauty all the time for different products, and….let’s face it, you have NO TALENT and the only reason you’re a star is because of your beauty, when you gain weight and make appearances dressed like this, it’s going to be everywhere!  That’s what being a celebrity means!  If you gain weight, and don’t want it to be an issue, then wear something that hides it better!  Don’t wear your jeans up to your breasts like a grandmother would.

But kudos to her sister Ashlee for standing up and having her sister’s back.  Nice to see Sisters that will defend each other, not try and compete for who looks better and who weighs less.

It’s a ‘Dark’ Day in Hollywood

January 22, 2009

Sure, Heath Ledger was great as the Joker in The Dark Knight, and he probably deserves his Best Supporting Actor Nomination from the Academy, but it’s a downright SIN that this film wasn’t nominated for Best Picture.  Instead, you’ve got 4 movies that barely anyone has seen and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (which I fell asleep during)!

The Dark Knight was much more that a simple comic book movie.  It was a crime epic, a reflection on society AND a comic book movie.  It combined the surefire Box Office phenomenon of Super Heroes and tied it in to everyday life.   How can you NOT reward a movie that does all that AND becomes a cultural and box office sensation (2nd all-time grossing movie)?

Once again, the Academy has dropped the ball showing they’re not in tune with the rest of the world.

Here are all the nominees

All-American Rejects Cover Britney!!

January 2, 2009

What do an an Accordion, Beer Bottles, an Acoustic Guitar, The Turtles, Britney Spears and the All-American Rejects have in common?  Woooooooooo!  This ridiculously fun cover! AAR shows what type of rockstars they are…the non-serious good time band, that actually makes good music!  And singer/bassist (and in this clip, accordionist) Tyson Ritter, if you can wear clothes that look like Pajamas and still be cool, you’re definitely a rockstar.
